… remember those tests I mentioned? Well the results are back.
I’ve got Crohn’s Disease.
At the moment i’m in a strange place of understanding what it is I have, feeling relived because i’ve got a result and worrying because I don’t quite know how to deal with it all!
The good thing is that I am being looked after very well and am having blood tests on Monday to see whether there is inflammation in my blood. Once this is done, the doctors can decide whether I am able to have the medicine I need or not as they want to get the medicine started sooner because I’ve had a bit of a rubbish week of flaring up.
After the blood tests, I’ve got a gastroenterologist referral next MONTH… seems like a long way away! And then I guess I’ll see where I go from there.
Sorry it’s not a very informative post, but I wanted to post and keep you updated with what’s going on right now 
In other news, the diagnosis has given me a boost to get back on the cooking and baking wagon… I’ve got bread going in my BRAND NEW bread machine and a big pan of vegetable soup simmering away. I’m looking forward to what the bread machine produces… i’ve always wanted one, and for Christmas, the boyfriend got me one Luckyyyyyy I’ll keep you posted on what it churns out for me!
